Live United, Give Local: Day of Action

Friday, September 20, 2024

9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Start brainstorming now; we're here to help! Anything from cleaning to painting to building gardens, playgrounds, and the like. Volunteer signup begins mid-July so it's important to have your projects in as soon as possible. 

Project Guidelines

  1. Must serve a need of your organization

  2. Must be located in York County

  3. Must complete the agency liability waiver

  4. Must have an inclement weather plan or notification strategy

Project Ideas

  1. Projects should require a minimum of two volunteers to complete

  2. Have an adequate number of staff and supplies present to support your project

  3. Utilize your volunteers for the full time that they sign up for, and have extra tasks if necessary

 

York Volunteer Appreciation Night

Join Give Local York and United Way of York County on Sunday, August 11 at 2 p.m. at WellSpan Park for Volunteer Appreciation Night as the York Revolution play the Long Island Ducks!

  • Nonprofit organizations will receive FREE TICKETS to invite and thank their volunteers! Grab your tickets now by visiting or emailing the Shipley Energy Ticket Office. 

  • Volunteers and organizations will also be able to join the Revs on the field for a Volunteer Parade and High-Five Tunnel prior to the game.

  • There are some additional opportunities for nonprofits at the game, including tabling, performing the National Anthem, and being one of the beneficiaries of our school supply drive. If you're interested in any of these opportunities, please indicate by submitting this form
