Paula loves her grandson, Anthony, and didn’t hesitate to become his guardian when his mother could no longer take care of him. Paula wanted to give Anthony the very best start she could and knew how important early learning is. Unfortunately, Paula was on a fixed income and didn’t qualify for government childcare assistance.
Because you give, Anthony received a scholarship from United Way of York County’s Impact Fund. He is now enrolled in a high-quality early-learning program. The Pre-K program offers key kindergarten readiness skills that will help children be successful once they enter kindergarten. Anthony is thriving in Pre-K. He has made new friends and learned essential social, emotional, and cognitive skills that have prepared him for the next step of his schooling career.
