Nicole, had passed away from a car accident in which she was a passenger."

Orlena's daughter Nicole left behind a lot of love in her children Pierce and Zoeyanna- three and one at the time. Through a United Way of York County Impact Funded program, Orlena was able to quickly get the children into preschool.

"[Their] compassion helped me keep going when I was at my lowest. I am extremely proud of Pierce and Zoeyanna for all they have been through in such a short amount of life. This would not have been possible without the help of the community contributions to the Kids Come First campaign which awards assistance for children that fall between the cracks of life. We are blessed and thankful for all the program has done
to help us move forward when we didn’t want to move at all."
